Project IT and Security Master Plan
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), known locally as Atlanta Airport, is located seven miles south of the central business district of Atlanta, Georgia. It has been the world’s busiest passenger airport since 1998. Hartsfield–Jackson held its ranking as the world's busiest airport in 2012, both in passengers and number of flights, by accommodating 95 million passengers and 950,119 flights. Many of the nearly one million flights are domestic flights from within the United States, where Atlanta serves as a major hub for travel throughout the Southeastern United States.
Project Description
As part of an Information Technology and Security Master Plan, JWG was responsible for developing the IT Governance Strategy and establishing the IT Governance Committee (ITGC). Members of the JWG team authored IT governance recommendations, the ITGC charter and created the business justification, mission, objectives, processes, procedures, and roles and responsibilities of the IT Governance Committee. JWG assisted ATL with facilitating the initial ITGC meetings and implementing the IT governance strategy at the airport. We were also responsible for developing both strategic and technical recommendations for enterprise asset management, which included a roadmap for a number of systems and potential system interfaces.
Lastly, JWG developed technical and business recommendations for passenger analytics and location aware technology, human resource systems, finance and revenue management solutions, and properties and concession management technologies.
