Dubrovnik Airport is located approximately 9.5 miles from Dubrovnik City center. It was the third busiest airport in Croatia in 2014 in terms of passenger throughput and has the country’s longest runway. In May of 2010 anew terminal opened stretching over 13,700 square meters. It has the capacity to handle two million passengers a year.
Dubrovnik Airport is currently finalizing an extensive airport modernization program which includes the extension of the passenger terminal building, car park and aircraft apron. The extension of the passenger terminal building will include additional concession spaces, enhanced Baggage Handling System, Check-in Hall and Departure Lounges with the possibility of including Passenger Boarding Bridges in the near future.
Airport consultancy and design services were rendered for optimizing the existing airfield layout in order to increase overall airfield capacity, safety and airport operations.
